Abstract

Modern educational standards require teachers not only to possess theoretical linguistic knowledge but also to communicate effectively in multicultural and academic environments. Communicative competence includes linguistic, sociolinguistic, discourse, and strategic competences that enable teachers to interact successfully in real-life situations. The development of this competence contributes to effective classroom communication, critical thinking, collaborative learning, and professional growth. The article examines the significance of communicative competence in teacher education, the methods used for its formation, and the role of innovative pedagogical technologies in the educational process.
