THE IMPORTANCE OF USING LITERARY WORKS (IN PARTICULAR, WORKS OF A.NAVOI) IN THE FORMATION OF ECOLOGICAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract

This article analyzes the possibilities of fostering ecological awareness among primary school students through literary texts, using the works of Alisher Navoi as a case study. The aim of the research is to identify effective methods for developing a conscious and responsible attitude toward nature by utilizing the educational potential of classical literature. The methodology includes literary analysis, classroom observation, and the examination of students’ written works as part of an empirical approach. The results of the observations show that consistent study of Navoi’s ghazals and wise couplets contributes to strengthening students’ emotional, ethical, and aesthetic attitudes toward nature. The author’s proposed methodological approaches - such as poetry analysis, free expression, and eco-poem writing - demonstrate the intrinsic connection between literary-aesthetic education and ecological upbringing. The study concludes that integrating classical literary heritage into modern educational practices can expand the possibilities for environmental education in the school curriculum.
