THE RELEVANCE OF CHILDREN’S CLOTHING DESIGN: ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND TRANSFORMABLE SOLUTIONS

Abstract

This article examines the relevance of children’s clothing in modern conditions and analyzes the main problems arising in its design and production. The study highlights the importance of hygienic, ergonomic, aesthetic, psychological, and environmental requirements for children’s clothing. The current state of the children’s clothing market in Uzbekistan, the share of imported products, and the challenges faced by local manufacturers are analyzed. It is substantiated that rapid child growth leads to a shortened service life of clothing, an increase in textile waste, and inefficient use of resources. As an effective solution, the implementation of transformable clothing, sustainable design principles, and modern technologies is proposed. The advantages of using transformation elements such as adjustable length, detachable components, and reversible wear are demonstrated. Special attention is given to the application of sublimation printing technology and the integration of national design elements into modern children’s clothing models, which contributes to the creation of competitive, functional, and environmentally friendly products.
