THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS IN TEACHING ENGLISH: EMERGING TRENDS AND PRACTICAL OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract

This article examines the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in English language teaching (ELT) as one of the emerging trends in modern education. Based on the author's practical teaching experience, the paper analyzes how tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Duolingo, Gamma, and Kimi can be integrated into English lessons to support communicative competence, individualize learning, and increase student motivation. The article also discusses the limitations and risks of AI-assisted teaching and offers practical recommendations for teachers seeking to use these tools effectively without diminishing the central role of the educator.
